Pressure Ranger 2-in-1 Cleaning System

Pressure Ranger 2-in-1 Cleaning System

There’s a new piece of equipment out right now that can handle both pressure washing and soft washing, and it’s called the Pressure Ranger 2-in-1.

A lot of guys have been blowing up my phone about it so I figured it’d be a good idea to break it down in this article. This new unit will change the way you work, so stick around to find out why it’s different, and how it might save you time and make your setup way easier. Let’s get into it!

Pressure Ranger 2-in-1

The Pressure Ranger 2-in-1 is built to handle both pressure washing and soft washing in one unit. It also gives you the option to do high-volume rinsing, so you can knock out all three without switching setups.

The best thing about it is you’re working with just one system, which means you can use one hose, one gun, and easily switch from pressure washing, to soft washing, to rinse mode by simply switching your nozzle.

Quick note: if you’re one of the newer guys out there and asking why you can’t just use a regular pressure washer for soft washing, just know that your regular pressure washer isn’t built for soft wash chemicals because standard pressure washer pumps break down fast when you run SH through them.

However, the Pressure Ranger 2-in-1 internal components are fully chemical resistant, including the pump, unloader, and regulator. It’s built with 316 stainless steel and Viton components to handle harsh chemicals and that’s what makes it different from your regular setup.

Right now, it’s available in 6 GPM and 10 GPM configurations, and allows you to control your pressure from 400 psi (for soft washing) up to 3500 psi (for pressure washing) with the top end model.

Using the Pressure Ranger on the Job

Spray Distance– The Pressure Ranger has a few different models, but they all spray about the same distance. High-pressure performance will vary depending on your model, but these units can spray up to 70 feet. That’s enough to easily reach a 3-story+ building.

Nozzles- Changing the pressure at which you are spraying is as simple as changing your nozzle. You can use different nozzle types with the Pressure Ranger depending on the job. If you’re looking for more distance, shooter tips or zero-degree nozzles work great. Some guys also like using twist-style nozzles to adjust their spray on the fly. It really just depends on how much reach or pressure you need.

Hose and Gun Setup- One of the best things about the Pressure Ranger 2-in-1 is how simple the setup is. All you need is one gun and one hose to do both pressure washing and soft washing. The only thing you’re changing is your liquid source, which is your proportioning system based on what you’re pulling from (chemical or water) and the nozzle you’re using at the end of your gun. Everything else stays the same, and you just keep working.

Surface Cleaner Use- You can use a surface cleaner with this unit just like a regular pressure washer. Just make sure you’re running fresh water through it. It’s not a good idea to run SH through a surface cleaner because it can mess with the internal parts, but under water it works like a normal pressure washer.

Mixing Setup- It works with any chemical system you’re already using including batch mix and proportioner setups. The best option is a proportioning system, so you can dial in your soft wash mix for when you want to soft wash, and transition to water only when you want to pressure wash. Whether you’re using a proportioner or mixing by batch, the Pressure Ranger 2 in 1 has got you covered.

Switching from Soft Washing to Pressure Washing

If you’re switching from soft washing to pressure washing, it’s important to flush any residual SH out of your line. The rinse time depends on how much hose you’re using. Here’s a quick guide:

  • For 50 feet of hose: 10 to 15 seconds
  • For 100 feet: around 30 seconds
  • For 200 feet: about 1 to 1.5 minutes

A good rule of thumb is to rinse for about 1 to 2 minutes, especially on longer hoses. That should be enough to clear things out before you switch modes.

Durability, Maintenance, and What to Watch Out For

The Pressure Ranger 2-in-1 is made to last, but only if you take care of it. Its lifespan is right up there with any high-end pressure washer or soft wash unit as long as you’re keeping up with the maintenance.

It’s always a good idea to flush out your unit with water between soft washing jobs so SH isn’t sitting inside your pump. For added protection after rinsing, run some bleach neutralizer through your unit and let it sit overnight to break down residual SH in your system.

Having said that, it’s worth knowing that the Pressure Ranger is fully rebuildable. Parts are readily available and this unit’s been in testing with a private contractor for over 2.5 years with solid results, so you know it’s a proven setup.

It also comes with a limited 1-year warranty manufacturer warranty, but fair warning: that warranty depends on proper maintenance. Just like with any unit, if it gets trashed from neglect, that’s on you.

Bottom line: take care of your gear, and it’ll take care of your business.

Benefits of the Pressure Ranger 2-in-1 vs. Separate Units

If we’re talking benefits, the Pressure Ranger 2 in 1 has a lot to offer that separate units can’t.

To start, it just makes everything easier. You’re not dragging around two machines, switching setups mid-job, or wasting time messing with different systems. You’ve got one setup that does it all and that alone makes a big difference.

Second, it cuts down on all the extra steps that slow you down. You’re setting up faster, you’re not dealing with as much equipment, and there’s less to go wrong.

For solo guys, it helps you move quicker without burning out. And if you’ve got a team, it makes training way easier since everyone’s using the same unit.

It can cut your job time by up to 50 percent and as a business owner, you know time is always money.

At the end of the day, it just makes your work smoother. Less gear to deal with, fewer chances to mess something up, and more time actually getting the job done.

One machine, two types of cleaning, infinite possibilities.
