Key Features of the Soft Wash Proportioner:

Precision Metering Valves

A proportioner isn’t a proportioner without accurate metering valves. This is what allows you to control the ratio of SH, Water, and Surfactant in your soft wash mix. The two most important aspects of a soft wash metering valve is that it DOESN’T LEAK, and has a LINEAR FLOW PATTERN. This simply means that when you set the dial to a certain % you can be confident the valve is outputting that percentage.

Our Metering Valves:

• Are built from CPVC plastic with Viton seals which means no corrosion, and most importantly NO LEAKS

• Utilize a V-Bore valve and number dial which enables a precise LINEAR FLOW PATTERN for accurate metering

• Color-coded and clearly labeled so you and your team can easily identify and make proper adjustments

Reliable Check Valve System

Check valves are super important to a soft wash proportioner because they keep liquids flowing in one direction, and prevent backflow and cross contamination of your Water, SH, and Surfactant. The great thing about our check valves is they are male to male which means we can connect the metering valve directly to the manifold block with just a single piece instead of having two nipples on either side of a female check valve. Check out the diagram below (Fewer pieces = fewer leaks)

Soft Wash Manifold Block

A good soft wash manifold block is vital because it’s what everything else is attached to, and where all our chemicals finally meet. We use the best plastic for soft washing, UHMWPE or Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene… I know it’s a mouthful. Our manifold blocks don’t crack or degrade in the sun.

• Made with UHMWPE for maximum chemical resistance
• Feature 2 x 3/8″ mounting holes for securing to any surface

Soft Wash Proportioner Mix % Chart

Below is a chart that shows what settings on your proportioner valves equate to final output Soft Wash Mix Percentages. This chart assumes 3 things:

1. You are starting with bulk Sodium Hypochlorite with a strength of 12.5%
2. Your water and SH tanks are plumbed EXACTLY the same (same length and diameter hoses, same connection to tanks (drop tube vs bulkhead) etc.)
3. This chart doesn’t take into account the addition of surfactant which will have a slight effect on the final output
