Runs from your tank to the pump inlet on soft wash and pressure wash rigs. Size the hose to about twice the pump's inlet port, so a ½" inlet takes a 1" hose. Warm the end with a heat gun, push on a barb or camlock sized to the ID, and double-clamp it. Keep the fittings poly or stainless on an SH rig. Brass and galvanized corrode and flake into the pump.
How It Works
On a soft wash rig this is the supply line from the tank to the pump inlet. When the pump runs, it pulls a vacuum on the inlet side. A plain vinyl hose sucks flat under that vacuum and starves the pump. The rigid helix in this hose holds the bore round, so the pump gets a steady feed and won't cavitate.
It carries liquid toward the pump, not away from it, so it isn't pressure-rated for the discharge side. For the machine-to-gun line, run a wire-reinforced high-pressure hose instead.

Is the crushproof suction hose safe for SH?
Yes. The food-grade PVC is rated for sodium hypochlorite at normal mixing strengths. The catch is the fittings, not the hose. Keep barbs, camlocks, and valves poly or stainless. Brass and galvanized corrode under SH and flake debris into your pump.
Will this hose collapse under suction?
No. The rigid PVC helix is the point. It holds the bore open under the vacuum the pump pulls on the inlet, so flow stays steady where a plain vinyl line would suck flat.
Can I use it as my high-pressure hose?
No. It's a suction and low-pressure transfer line only. For the high-pressure side from the machine to the gun, use a wire-reinforced pressure hose.
