How to Choose the Right AR45 Setup
Everything on this page runs on the same pump: the AR45, bolted to a 6.5 HP Honda GX200. It pulls up to 11.4 GPM at 290 PSI, runs a polypropylene and stainless wet end, and uses Viton diaphragms that hold up to SH. There's only one pump to pick, so your real choice is how much of the system you need right now.
Pull start or electric start
Both run the same pump and motor. Pull start costs less and gives you one less thing to fail. Electric start adds a battery and a turn-key start, which earns its keep when you're firing the rig up twenty times a day. If you're cold-starting a GX200 every morning in January, get electric.
The pump alone or the full bundle
If you've already got tanks, hose, a reel, and a gun, the Soft Wash Sprayer gets you the pump and motor on a baseplate, ready to plumb in. Add the AR45 Plumbing Kit and every hose and fitting comes cut and sized to the pump, so you're not tracking parts down one at a time. If you're building a rig from scratch, the AR45 Soft Wash Bundle matches the pump to a 1" proportioner, hose and reel, a WaterBoss 750 gun, and the plumbing, so there's no separate kit to add.
Keeping an AR45 running
Diaphragm pumps wear parts. That's not a flaw, it's a maintenance schedule. Check valves and diaphragms go first, and both are stocked here as OEM kits straight from Annovi Reverberi. When the pressure starts bouncing, it's usually the check valves (AR42816). When it drops and stays down, it's the diaphragms (AR43238). Keep one of each on the shelf and a worn part costs you an hour, not a day.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the AR45 soft wash pump?
The AR45 is a diaphragm pump from Annovi Reverberi, an Italian outfit that's built pump wet ends for a long time. On our sprayers it sits on a 6.5 HP Honda GX200, set up for soft washing. It moves a lot of chemical at low pressure instead of blasting at high PSI, which is how you reach a two-story roof without chewing up the shingles.
What's the GPM and PSI on the AR45?
Up to 11.4 GPM at 290 PSI. The flow is the whole point. Soft washing runs on volume and reach, not pressure, and 11.4 GPM carries your mix up a shooter tip to the top of a two-story wall.
Will the AR45 hold up to SH?
Yes. The wet end is polypropylene and stainless steel, and the diaphragms are Viton, which is what takes sodium hypochlorite without breaking down. Flush it with fresh water after a day on bleach and it'll last.
Pull start or electric start?
Pull start is cheaper and simpler. Electric start adds a battery and a key, worth it if you're starting the rig dozens of times a day or cold-starting in winter. The pump and the flow are the same either way.
What parts wear out, and how do I fix them?
Check valves and diaphragms. Bouncing or fluctuating pressure usually points to the check valves (AR42816). A steady loss of pressure usually points to the diaphragms (AR43238). Both are OEM AR kits, they bolt in with basic tools, and the rebuild manual is linked on each kit's product page.
AR45 or Comet P40, which should I run?
Both are solid soft wash pumps. They run on the same Honda GX200 and both handle SH, and the numbers land close: the AR45 does up to 11.4 GPM at 290 PSI, the P40 up to 11 GPM at 300 PSI. The real gap is the diaphragm. The AR45 uses Viton, the P40 uses three Desmopan. Which one fits your rig depends on your tanks, your hose length, and what you're washing. If you're not sure, get Ford on the phone before you buy and he'll spec the right one.
