The SGS28 spray gun is MTM Hydro's compact high-pressure trigger gun for pressure washing, rated to 4,000 PSI and 12 GPM. It has an integrated stainless live swivel and an easy-pull trigger that cut hose drag and hand fatigue on long jobs. Made in Italy.
Key Features
-
Integrated stainless live swivel: The inlet swivels 360° under pressure, so the hose won't kink or twist your wrist through a long session.
-
Easy-pull trigger: Lower holding force than a standard trigger gun, which saves your hand on big flatwork jobs.
-
Stainless QC fittings installed: Ships with a 3/8" stainless quick-connect plug on the inlet and a 1/4" coupler on the outlet, Loctite'd so they don't back out.
-
4,000 PSI, 12 GPM: Handles high-pressure machines up to a 4,000 PSI, 12 GPM rating.
-
Compact snub body: The short profile mates cleanly with a foam cannon and works in tight spots without a long reach.
-
Rebuildable: MTM repair kit 41.5003 rebuilds the internals instead of replacing the whole gun.

What's Included
- 1 SGS28 spray gun with integrated stainless swivel
- 3/8" stainless QC plug (inlet) and 1/4" stainless QC coupler (outlet), pre-installed
Connects between your pressure hose and a lance, wand, nozzle, or foam cannon. The 3/8" inlet takes a standard pressure-washer hose, and the 1/4" outlet takes quick-connect nozzles and MTM foam cannons like the PF22. For M22 machines (AR, Sun Joe, Ryobi, Greenworks), add a 14mm or 15mm M22 adapter. It's not for battery or 12V backpack sprayers, and it's not for potable water.
How the SGS28 Spray Gun Works
The SGS28 sits between your pressure hose and the lance or nozzle. Pressurized water enters the stainless swivel inlet, and pulling the trigger opens an internal ball-and-seat valve that sends flow to the 1/4" outlet. Release the trigger and the valve closes. The live swivel lets the hose rotate 360° under pressure so it won't kink, and the easy-pull trigger drops the holding force so your hand lasts through a full day of flatwork.
It's rated to 320°F, but that covers the internal piping. The factory nitrile o-rings top out around 250°F, so for hot-water work swap to Viton seals. One honest note on chemicals: the body is nickel-plated brass with nitrile seals, so this is a pressure-washing and detailing gun, not a soft wash gun. Daily SH corrodes brass and breaks down nitrile, so for bleach work run a poly or stainless soft wash gun instead.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the SG28 and the SGS28?
The "S" is for swivel. The SGS28 has an integrated stainless live swivel on the inlet; the SG28 doesn't. The swivel keeps the hose from kinking and twisting as you move around the job.
Can I use the SGS28 for soft washing or running bleach?
No. The body is nickel-plated brass with nitrile seals, and daily SH corrodes brass and breaks down nitrile. It's a pressure-washing and detailing gun. For soft wash and bleach, run a poly or stainless gun like the WaterBoss 750 Soft Wash Gun or the ST-510 Poly Trigger Gun.
Does the SGS28 come with quick connects?
The SWT gun is the 10.5007, so yes. It ships with a 3/8" stainless QC plug on the inlet and a 1/4" stainless QC coupler on the outlet, both installed with Loctite. The 10.5000 version doesn't include them.
