Product reviews

The Rampage BEAST Pressure Washer Hose is a steel wire braid discharge hose for daily pressure washing. It runs single or double wire in 3/8" and 1/2" bores, rated up to 7,300 PSI and 310°F, with a non-marking gray jacket that resists abrasion.

Key Features

  • Three builds to match your machine: 3/8" single wire at 4,300 PSI, 3/8" double wire at 7,300 PSI, and 1/2" double wire at 6,200 PSI.
  • Pressure headroom: the double-wire models sit well above a typical 4,000 PSI machine, with burst ratings of 18,250 PSI (3/8") and 15,500 PSI (1/2"), so spikes and pulsing don't eat your safety margin.
  • Non-marking gray jacket: the abrasion-resistant cover won't scuff surfaces the way cheap black hose does.
  • 310°F rated: runs on hot-water rigs across every build.
  • Crimped MPT ends: pre-assembled with 3/8" MPT on the single and double 3/8" hoses and 1/2" MPT on the 1/2" hose, so there's no field-crimp failure point.
  • 1/2" bore option: the double-wire 1/2" cuts pressure drop on high-GPM machines and long runs.

What's Included

  • One finished hose assembly at your selected build and length
  • Crimped MPT ends on both ends (3/8" or 1/2" to match the build)

Quick connects aren't included. Add matching 3/8" or 1/2" quick connect fittings if you want tool-free changes.

Pick the build by matching hose working pressure above your machine's max PSI, with headroom, then diameter to your flow. The 3/8" single wire suits machines up to about 4 GPM for residential and light-commercial work. The 3/8" double wire handles higher-pressure machines up to about 5.5 GPM for daily commercial routes and abrasive sites. The 1/2" double wire is for high-flow machines at 8 GPM and up, and long runs where pressure drop at the gun starts to show.

It isn't a soft wash hose. It's overbuilt for SH chemical delivery, and the steel braid corrodes with SH. Run a dedicated chemical-resistant soft wash hose with poly or 316 stainless ends and Viton seals for that. If you ever push diluted SH through it downstream, flush clean water through it for 2 to 3 minutes after every use. It also isn't a suction hose. Inlet lines need a crushproof hose that resists collapse under vacuum.

How It Works

A wire-braid high-pressure hose is the discharge line. It carries pumped water from the machine or hose reel to your gun and wand, and the steel braid lets it hold thousands of PSI without ballooning. Adding a second braid on the double-wire builds buys working pressure and abrasion life at the same bore. The 1/2" build trades some pressure rating for a wider bore that cuts pressure drop on long, high-GPM runs.

Two failure points stay the same across every hose: the crimped collar if you over-bend it at the ends, and jacket abrasion from dragging. A reel with a 12" or larger core on the 3/8" x 200 ft keeps coil memory down.

Frequently Asked Questions

Single or double wire, which do I need?

Single wire (4,300 PSI) is lighter and more flexible, built for residential and light-commercial machines up to about 4 GPM. Double wire (7,300 PSI in the 3/8") is for daily commercial routes, higher pressure, and abrasive surfaces where the extra braid earns its keep.

What's the difference between 3/8" and 1/2"?

3/8" handles most contractor machines up to about 8 GPM and coils easier on the reel. Step up to 1/2" for 8 to 12 GPM machines or runs over 200 ft, where pressure drop at the gun starts to cost you.

Can I use it as my soft wash hose?

You can, but it's overbuilt and the wrong tool, and the steel braid corrodes with SH. Run a dedicated chemical-resistant soft wash hose instead. If SH ever goes through this one, flush clean water through it for 2 to 3 minutes after every use.
