How to Choose a Suttner Spray Gun
Six guns, two jobs. One moves chemical for soft washing. The other five put pressure on flatwork, equipment, and rinse-down. Pick by what your rig does most, then match the fitting and the trigger feel. If you're not sure which one fits your rig, get on the SWT Consult and we'll spec it with you.
Soft wash or pressure
The ST-510 is the soft wash gun: 18.5 GPM at 365 PSI. High flow, low pressure, built to push SH and surfactant without choking your draw. The ST1500s, SGS28, and SGS35 run 4,000 to 5,000 PSI for pressure work. Don't reach for a 5,000 PSI gun to apply chem, and don't expect the ST-510 to cut oil off concrete.
When the swivel earns its keep
The SGS28 and Blue SGS35 use a live stainless swivel. The hose spins under pressure so it stops wrapping around your leg on long flatwork days. The ST1500s and ST-510 run a fixed inlet, which is fine for house washing and shorter runs. Behind a surface cleaner all day, the swivel pays for itself.
What you can rebuild
The ST1500 is forged brass with stainless internals and seven-screw valve access, so you take it apart at the truck and drop in new parts instead of buying a new gun. The SGS35 guns use a plated brass valve and ceramic ball to stand up to chemical and corrosion. Both last. The ST1500 is the one you can keep alive yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Suttner gun do I need for soft washing?
The ST-510 Poly Trigger Gun. It moves 18.5 GPM at 365 PSI, so it pushes high volume at low pressure the way a soft wash setup needs. The poly body shrugs off SH. The 5,000 PSI pressure guns aren't built to apply chem and will wear faster doing it.
What's the difference between the ST1500 and the SGS35?
The ST1500 is a $44 forged-brass gun with a fixed inlet and stainless internals, and it's fully rebuildable. The SGS35 runs $80–115 with a plated brass valve, ceramic ball, food-grade housing, and (on the Blue) a live stainless swivel. Same 5,000 PSI ceiling. The ST1500 is the workhorse you rebuild. The SGS35 is the upgrade you buy for the swivel and the comfort on long days.
Can I use a Suttner gun with hot water?
The SGS28 is rated to 320°F, so that's the one we list for hot water units. The others don't publish a hot-water rating, so check the spec before you run heat through them.
Do these guns come with quick connects?
It depends on the gun. The Black SGS35 ships with stainless QCs already installed. The ST-510 and Blue SGS35 give you a with-QC or without-QC option at checkout. The ST1500 gun is threaded (3/8" FPT inlet, 1/4" FPT outlet), so you'll add your own QCs. The ST1500 Gun and Wand Assembly comes with a 3/8" QC plug and socket plus a 1/4" QC socket outlet.
Are Suttner guns rebuildable?
The ST1500 is. Seven screws get you into the valve, and the spring, needle, ball, and seat are replaceable. The SGS28 has a matching repair kit. Keeping a kit on the truck means a worn gun is a 10-minute fix, not a new purchase.
What fitting size does the ST1500 use?
3/8" FPT on the inlet and 1/4" FPT on the outlet. The standalone gun is threaded so you can plumb it your way. The Gun and Wand Assembly comes pre-fitted with 3/8" quick connects and a 1/4" QC socket at the tip for standard pressure washer tips.
